The Road Trip Pass enhances that experience by offering savings at participating businesses and access to account features such as saving trips and itineraries.
The Road Trip Pass is built on a simple premise:
an honest deal at a fair price.
These policies outline how the Road Trip Pass works, what it includes, and what it does not. They are designed to protect travelers, businesses, and the integrity of the ecosystem.
1. Key Terms
BUGMe – Don’t BUGMe I’m On Vacation (www.bugme.travel)
Vacationer – A user of the BUGMe website and/or Road Trip Pass
Participating Business – A business listed on BUGMe that has agreed to offer savings to Road Trip Pass holders
Map Listing – A business listed on the BUGMe map that does not offer pass savings
Road Trip Pass (RTP) – A paid membership that provides access to savings and account features
Active Pass – A Road Trip Pass that has not expired
2. What BUGMe Is (and Is Not)
BUGMe is a reference and discovery platform.
We are not a booking or reservation service
We do not process payments for tourism businesses
All bookings, payments, changes, and refunds for experiences happen directly between you and the business
BUGMe helps you:
Discover tourism experiences
Identify participating businesses offering savings
Organize and save your travel ideas (with an active pass)
3. Accounts & Access
You may browse and search the BUGMe map without an account
Purchasing a Road Trip Pass creates your account
An active pass is required to:
Receive savings at participating businesses
Save trips, searches, and itineraries
Access account-based planning features
4. The BUGMe Map
The map includes independent tourism businesses we believe are relevant to travelers
Not all listed businesses offer Road Trip Pass savings
Participating businesses are clearly marked on the map (via the ‘offers’ button)
You may:
Search freely
Filter by interests
Save places and trips with an active Road Trip Pass
5. Road Trip Pass Savings
What the Pass Includes
20% savings at participating businesses
Savings apply to the business’s principal activity only
Savings do not apply to:
Add-ons such as merchandise, photos, upgrades
Already discounted or group-rate offerings
Items restricted by law (e.g., alcohol, tobacco)
Using Your Pass
To receive savings, you must:
Have an Active Road Trip Pass
Inform the business before purchase or booking
Present your active pass at check-in or arrival
Savings cannot be applied:
Retroactively
To existing reservations
To bookings made before the pass was active
At the time of booking
Your pass may be used unlimited times while active.
6. Pass Use & Eligibility
Road Trip Passes are non-transferable
The pass holder must:
Be the person making the booking
Be present at the experience
You may include friends or family in your booking
7. Availability & Business Discretion
Participating businesses remain independent
Availability, capacity, and scheduling are determined by each business
Please be respectful — the Road Trip Pass is designed to support, not strain, local businesses.
8. Refunds
Road Trip Passes are generally non-refundable
This policy helps prevent misuse and protects participating businesses
That said, we understand that unexpected situations arise.
Refund requests may be reviewed case by case at our discretion.
Approved refunds are processed by BUGMe
Please allow 7–10 business days for processing
9. Reviews & Conduct
We welcome respectful, constructive feedback.
Please:
Be honest and fair
Avoid defamatory or abusive language
Address service concerns directly with the business when possible
10. Responsibility & Disputes
BUGMe is not responsible for:
The conduct of businesses or other travelers
The quality of services provided by third parties
If a participating business does not honor an active pass as described, please contact us so we can follow up.

The Road Trip Pass exists to support:
Independent businesses
Flexible travel
Mutual benefit
