Don’t BUGMe I’m On Vacation (“BUGMe”, “we”, “us”, “our”) works with affiliates who help travelers discover local, independent, and authentic tourism experiences.

These policies explain how the affiliate program works, how commissions are earned, and what is expected to maintain trust across the BUGMe ecosystem.

1. Eligibility & Alignment

The affiliate program is open to individuals and organizations aligned with:

• Independent, community-oriented tourism

• Honest recommendations

• Respectful promotion

Affiliates may include:

• Tourism businesses

• Accommodations

• Vehicle rentals

• Travel agents

• Guides

• Writers, bloggers, and creators

• Organizations and individuals

All affiliates are subject to approval. Approval may be revoked if alignment is lost.

2. Affiliate Relationship

Affiliates:

• Operate independently

• Do not act as agents of BUGMe

• Do not negotiate discounts or terms on behalf of BUGMe

• Do not provide customer support for BUGMe products

Affiliates are recommenders, not intermediaries.

3. How Commissions Are Earned

Affiliates earn a commission when a Road Trip Pass is purchased through their unique affiliate URL or their QR code

Current Commission Rate

• $25 CAD per Road Trip Pass sold

Commission rates may change in the future. Any changes will be communicated clearly in advance.

4. Tracking & Attribution

• Each affiliate receives a unique tracking link and QR code

• Sales must occur through these links or codes to be attributed

• BUGMe is not responsible for commissions lost due to:

• Incorrect link usage

• Modified or broken links

• Third-party tracking limitations
  

5. Payouts & Adjustments

• Commissions are paid in Canadian dollars (CAD)

• Payout schedules and methods are communicated to affiliates

• If a Road Trip Pass is refunded, the associated commission may be reversed

Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate payout information and handling their own tax obligations.

6. Promotion Standards

Affiliates must promote BUGMe in ways that are:

• Honest and accurate

• Consistent with BUGMe’s values

• Transparent where disclosure is required by law

Affiliates must not:

• Make misleading claims

• Guarantee savings everywhere

• Represent BUGMe as a booking or reservation service

• Use spam, deception, or unsolicited messaging
  

7. Promotional Materials

BUGMe may provide:

• Digital assets

• Print-ready materials

• Messaging guidance

Affiliates may not materially alter branding or messaging in ways that misrepresent BUGMe.

8. Termination

BUGMe reserves the right to:

• Suspend or terminate affiliate participation

• Withhold commissions earned through misuse or misrepresentation

Affiliates may stop participating at any time.

There are no long-term contracts.

9. Governing Law

These affiliate policies are governed by the laws of Canada.

Final Note

The affiliate program exists to reward people who help others travel better.

If your approach relies on pressure, hype, or exploitation, this program is not a good fit.
